Shruti Haasan is a perfect combination of beauty with brains. This goes true with her persona as she is multi-talented and has many talents in her arms. She is a singer, model, actress and more recently tried her hand in composing music. She is born to south star Kamal Haasan and bollywood actress Sarika. After a good start with singing she switch herself to modeling. She started by starring appearing in the Frappe! magazine version of September 2007, since then she has gone on to appear in Verve. In 2000, Shruti Haasan made her cinematic debut with 'Hey Ram'. She made a cameo appearance as the daughter of Vallabhai Patel in the biopic of Mahatma Gandhi. Luck was her debut in bollywood opposite Imraan Khan. After much speculation Shruti haasan is the music composer for the film Unnaipol Oruvan which released in 2009, with lead role played by her father kamal Haasan and who is also a co-producer of the movie. This movie is a remake of Hindi film, A Wednesday. Apart from this, Shruthi Hassan is also the vocalist of goth rock band The Extramentals.
With number of talents in her hand she is still not able to fetch any award so far. The album from Ilayaraaja which was critically praised, won Haasan accolades for her efforts with reviewers, Screen India praising that she has the quality of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns. She is currently at beginning stage of her career and have miles to go
