Veer

This film is special for Salman because the story is penned down by him and is very close to his heart. Not only this, Salman is also involved in editing of the film. The film is directed by Anil Sharma of Gadar fame and is being shot on a huge scale. The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff and Sohail Khan. Mithun plays the role of 'Veer's father and another actress Lisa Lazarous who makes her debut in Bollywood with this film , attracted a lot of attention in the media. She is said to resemble Katrina Kaif a lot and her casting created a lot of buzz. Music is composed by Salman's favorite Sajid-Wajid duo. Veer is a period film and so huge emphasis has been laid on the set designing and the costumes of every character in the film. Salman is playing the role of a warrior and however there is no official statement about the theme of the film, but is rumored that the film is about the rebel against the British and how Veer manages to get the love of his life. The film's story has been adapted from a book which goes by the name of 'Taras Bulba' written by Nikolai Gogol. Salman is controversy's favorite child because some way or the other he gets involved in legal issues. The same thing happened during the shoot of Veer at the Amber Fort and Rajasthan court had to ban the shooting as one of the walls of this historical monument collapsed
