One of the good movies that has created a surge of Oscars, this year has been Slumdog millionaire. However, the good deeds of this movie do not stop just with the story of a slum kid reaching the heights of stardom by virtue of his sheer intelligence and having lived each and every one of the questions that are asked. The lead hero of this movie is in the well known game show called Kaun Banega Crorepati and the host of this movie has been played by none other than Anil Kapoor. The deed lies in the act by Anil Kapoor of donating his salary to a charity called Plan India. He said that though he himself has risen form the slums but still he is able to relate with the story of this movie. The reason being that Anil Kapoor was bought up quite simply and he spent his childhood in a house which had a common bathroom. He still remembers those days when he used to run all over the house bare footed. He also puts forward the fact that this film was not made with the intention of making it a financial success but rather was created with an aim of having it shown to a global audience. The phenomenal success of this film according to Anil Kapoor is also due to the good wishes of all the children who acted in this movie apart from the excellent acting and a wonderful plot.
