New Delhi, Dec, 2009: Canon India Private Limited, India’s No.1 Complete Digital Imaging Company had organized a Photography Contest called “City of Timeless Delights”, for the press photographers of Delhi, providing a brilliant creative platform that allowed them to showcase their artistic imaginations. In addition to felicitating the winners of the contest at The Oberoi Hotel , the evening also witnessed the launch of Canon’s much awaited successor, EOS-1D Mark IV to the existing range of 7 Digital SLR’s. The contest invited three entries online from each contender of the imminent media fraternity with the piece of work that could best capture the timeless beauty of their city, Delhi . A special jury panel was set up to judge the art work of each of the photography enthusiast, that comprised of distinguished people like, Mr. Raghu Rai, who is a proud owner of many prestigious honors and recognitions, that include being the only recipient of ‘Padmashree Award’ for photography and Mr. Dinesh Khanna, a professional at photography, who’s rich and extensive work of art like “Tirtha”, “Bazaar” and “Living Faith” have carved an exclusive niche globally. The launch and the felicitation ceremony was done by Mr. Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon India , Mr. Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President , Canon India and Mr. Shunichi Senda Director - ICP , Canon India. The evening also witnessed the launch of Canon EOS 1D Mark IV camera, with an exceptional resolution of 16.1 Mega Pixels and a silent shooting mode for quiet environment. The camera also has the Dual Digic IV processor and sharp and fast focus even in low light. Canon also showcased the already announced EOS 7D an 18 megapixel SLR camera with live view mode and full HD movie recording at the launch.
