Eight of the 10 American missionaries who were facing charge of abducting children in Haiti after last month's quake have been freed and are now back in US. An American military plane brought them to Miami after being freed by a Haitian judge. They may have to visit Haiti again for further interrogation. Two missionaries are still in custody which include group leader, Laura Silsby and a member named Charisa Coulter. The Americans were arrested while they were leaving Haiti with 33 children. Children were believed to be orphans but some of them were having living parents. Ms Silsby has accepted that the missionaries did not have the proper documents for the children, who were later sent into care of Haitian authorities. The missionaries, from the New Life Children's Refuge, are facing charges of child abduction and criminal conspiracy.  The group's lawyer, Aviol Fleurant informed that the judge wants to question two of his clients because they were in Haiti before the earthquake. The 10 arrested Americans included five men and five women mostly from Idaho. They were arrested 17 days after the quake occurred that took life of approximately 230,000 people. Accused missionaries denied allegations that they had tried to smuggle the children across the border to the Dominican Republic. They cleared their mission that they were taking the children to an orphanage. The case has drawn huge media attention and criticism. It seems that Haitian Prime minister has lost his focus on earthquake recovery.
