Robert Pattinson was surrounded by screaming girls at film premiere

Robert Pattinson dislikes crowd. But at last night's 'Remember Me' premiere, he was mobbed by hundreds of screaming girls. It can be understood if heartthrob Pattinson Pattinson felt in need of a stiff drink. He signed hundreds of autographs and posed for photos with his fans for over an hour. He introduced the film to the audience which included many celebrities and competition winners. Then, Pattinson headed to the upmarket Ivy Club in London's Covent Garden. Though it was a low budget film the 23-year-old's presence guaranteed a huge turnout for the premiere. The West End was besieged with hundreds of teenage girls clambering for a glimpse of their idol. Modest Pattinson, admitted that he was getting used to the fan hysteria, which kicked off in 2008 when he first portrayed vampire Edward Cullen in the first Twilight movie. He said that he was grateful to the success of Twilight which is also promoting his other movies. Pattinson explained: 'The idea that Twilight can help little independent films push through Alice In Wonderland and £100million budgets is nice. His Twilight co-star and real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart was not able to join him as she was busy premiering her own film 'The Runaways' in New York. Pattinson posed for photos on the red carpet with his relatively unknown Australian co-star Emilie De Ravin, who struggled to keep up with him in her studded heels. Reality TV star Bianca Gascoigne made a colorful entry at the premiere. She was dressed in a floral mini-skirt, bright pink blouse and matching heels, which she combined with a clashing green clutch bag. Emily Atack looked more subtle at the premiere. She was recently evicted from 'Dancing On Ice'. She showed off her skating-toned figure in a tight white dress and shoe boots. Australian singer and actress Holly Valance and model Olivia Inge also added glamour to the premiere. 'Remember Me' will be released in U.K. on April 2nd.
