The Coronation Street girls are more popular for wearing tracksuits than designer dresses. So street actors dress up when ever they get opportunity to do so. Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan was not able to grab the award for best presenter by Louis Theroux, who clinched the title for his BBC documentary 'A Place For Paedophiles' in which he held interviews and tried to understand convicted paedophiles in America. Experimental chef Heston Blumenthal received the gong in the features and lifestyle series category for his Channel 4 series Heston's Feasts. The program won by leaving behind BBC3 series Don't Tell The Bride and Channel 4's The Sex Education Show vs Pornography. BBC comedy The Thick Of It, written by Armando Ianucci and starring Peter Capaldi as a foul-mouthed government spin doctor, won the title of best scripted comedy. Slick American advertising drama Mad Men, won in the international category, while Big And Small - Blame It On The Drain grabbed the award for best children's programme. BBC drama 'The Street', composed by Bafta-winner Jimmy McGovern, bagged the award for best drama series. Naomie Harris won the award for best actress for her performance in BBC's One's Small Island. David Oyelowo grabbed the award for best actor. Oyelowo did not attend the ceremony but in a statement made on his behalf, he thanked BBC which helped him to pay his mortgage for the last 10 years. Iain Morris and Damon Beesley got the award for comedy writing for E4 teenage comedy.
