The winter vomiting bug has affected 5,00,000 lakh people and the situation is getting worse with NHS is trying hard to cater to the mounting number pf patients. It has canceled operations, shut wards and also has banned visitors. In Britain, there has been an outcry as the number of people affected by an infection that causes severe stomach upsets. It is being feared that these cases will rise tremendously in the coming weeks, Dr Steve Field, chairman of the Royal College of GPs, said, 'It seems incredibly serious. We know it peaks twice a year and it looks like we are in the middle of a second serious peak in a few months that could be affecting up to half a million people.' He further says that the figure are being estimated only as the exact number is unknown because there are several cases that go unreported.
