On Thursday, 11th March, A restaurant and office block in Shoreditch, central got caught in flames. At least 100 firefighters and 25 fire brigades are involved in extinguishing the fire. Shoreditch is the financial district of London. There are a number of stylish bars and restaurants, on the Tabernacle Street which include the Soho Bar, The Windmill and The East Room. According to the BBC, the flames were seen emerging out of Tabernacle street, just after 4 am GMT. The fire brigades and security personnel have surrounded the incident area and are putting their all efforts to extinguish the fire. No casualties have been reported. A London Fire Brigade spokesman told that 50% of the roof was alight. In some building fires had reached up to second and third floors. He told that there was a lot of smoke and it can be seen from long distances far from the incident. Television news showed thick white smoke drifting over the city. It is still not known whether the fire arose out of sabotage or caused by any short-circuit.
