In a meeting at Russia, Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had talked to President Asif Ali Zardari that Pakistan is running 42 operational camp in the POK region. Dr. Singh told President Asif Ali Zardari that he is having the facts on the current scenario in POK and these operational camps are practicing for the disturbance in peace in India and these camps were controlled and tuned from Pakistan. According to Multi-Agency Center (MAC), the nodal agency for all terror-related intelligence under the home ministry, are having the facts and proofs on the activity running in the POK and said that there are 34 `active' and eight `holding' camps operational across the border. Dr. Singh also discussed that according to MAC assessment which is based on inputs from Research and Analysis Wing, the Intelligence Bureau in the country, Military Intelligence and National Technical Research Organization are having the reports that Both Pakistan's Northern Areas and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir are running 17 `active' and four `holding or dormant' camps. Its an estimated report with intelligence bureau that around 2,200 militants are housed in these camps. After incident of 26/11 attack there are many camps running in the region were made to empty or relocated. Mean while some are back to their original status now, while new ones have also come up fr the activity. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declaring India that now this the time were Pakistan is to take strong, effective and sustained action against the terror networks which are targeting India from its soil, before it decides on resuming the composite dialogue process, the fate of these camps as well as that of the masterminds behind the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai was been being tracked closely. In the mean time Pakistan is taking steps to crack down on the Taliban-al Qaida nexus which is a kind of jihadi factory against India and Pakistan is in its continues efforts to run activity against them. According MAC assessment report around 2,200 militants in the 42 camps spread across Pakistan, around 300 belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba, 240 to Jaish-e-Mohammed and 130 to Huji, while the rest are of mixed in the region. According to the reports of official said that, The North-West Frontier Province is another situation of jihadi activity, with the densely-forested hilly Manshera region and housing several madrasas which also help training camps. These include Jangal Mangal, Andher Bela, Shinkiari and Jalo Gali, with other NWFP camps including Boi, Oghi and Attar Shisha.
