Berlusconi's wife asks for $65 mln a year alimony

The wife of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Veronica Lario has asked for 43 million euros (65 million dollars) a year in a divorce statement filed by her. Souces close to the government are also saying that 60 to 70 million euros has already been paid to Veronica. Veronica Lario, who is 52 year old had filed for divorce in the month of May, fed up with her husbands love affairs with younger women. The last nail in the coffin came in the month of April when 72 year old Berlusconi attended the 18th birthday party of aspiring model Noemi Letizia. Later, Berlusconi's relationship with Letizia became the fodder for gossip and intrigue.
