According to Iran's Guardian Council, Iran's election authority is rejecting the claims of voting irregularities by a defeated presidential candidate, while admitting the truth that the number of ballots who were casted in numbers of cities , exceeded the number of eligible voters. It has been reported by government -funded press that approval of all candidates who verified the results of election alleged irregularities in 170 cities, and the excessive ballots were found in 50 cities.
