England Football team manager Fabio Capello is very tough about his team to win world cup. He has vowed that his knee surgery will not any way effect England's chances to become World champion of Football. Fabio, 63, has to undergo a replacement operation on his left knee to get rid of an old problem which has grown increasingly painful. He will be on crutches for six weeks and it could take three MONTHS for full recovery. In the early stages he will not be able to personally monitor the form of his team members in the countdown to South Africa.
A colleague told that though it is very unfortunate news but Fabio is tough guy and he is aiming to be back again to watch matches. Capello will have his operation in his native Italy. He had a knee injury as a young player in Italy in the 1960s but he didn't take a break and finished 332 senior club games and 32 international. Now, his knee gives him a lot of pain and he can barely bend it. He battled his knee pain for months to see England in the World Cup finals. He is having the operation now because there is a gap between matches and it will not have adverse impact. The surgery will be done at a clinic equipped with the latest replacement technology. His knee bones will be trimmed and inserts made of metal and plastics will be inserted to relieve pain and allow movement. He also has problems with his right knee but the decision to get it cured will be taken after the World Cup.
